The future of music rights infrastructure is explainable
At some point, every royalty system is asked a very human question:
Why this number?
Sometimes it’s a writer trying to understand their income.
Sometimes it’s a finance team trying to reconcile two reports that don’t match.
The answer is rarely simple. It often lives across multiple systems, rules, and assumptions.
For a long time, that was acceptable, but AI has changed the expectation:
Identity must be traceable.
Logic must be transparent.
Lineage must be reconstructable.
Trust in AI will depend on whether someone can follow the path from data to outcome. And in that sense, the future of music rights infrastructure is not just intelligent. It has to be explainable.
